We have to also be careful about what technology we are bringing into the classroom. Things can be easily abused such as cellphones and computers. We need to also know the signs of people using things for what they are supposed to or if they are abusing the system.

That is true. It is very distracting to be in class behind a person who is using their laptop for facebook or mlia.com. But, I also realize the temptation that comes with haveing a cellphone or laptop with you in class. It is hard to not go onto facebook or another non-educational website. You are right that teachers need to be aware of the kinds of technology that they allow in their classrooms. I think that most teachers are, by not allowing laptops, cellphones, etc. in their classrooms in order to keep student's attention on the lesson and not on something else.
